Burst Pipes, Leaks & Breakdowns — Leeds
Emergency Plumber in Leeds
Burst pipe, a leak you can’t stop, no heating or no hot water? Call the emergency line and we’ll get to you the same day wherever we can.
The short answer
For a burst pipe or a leak you can’t stop, call 0793 694 1449 and we’ll get to you the same day wherever we can, Monday to Saturday, 8am to 8pm. Turn the water off at the stopcock while you wait. If you can smell gas, ring the National Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999 first — making the property safe comes before any repair.
If You Can Smell Gas, Do This First
Turn the gas off at the meter. Open the doors and windows. Don’t touch light switches or anything else electrical. Get everyone out, then ring the National Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999 — free, and open day and night. Call them before you call us. Once the property is safe, we’ll deal with the repair.
What We Come Out To
Turn The Water Off While You Wait
With a leak, the first few minutes matter more than how fast we drive. Find your stopcock — it’s usually under the kitchen sink — and turn it clockwise until the water stops. If the leak is coming from an appliance, isolate that appliance from the mains as well. Then put a bucket under it and give us a ring.
Worth knowing where your stopcock is before you ever need it. Go and find it now, while nothing is going wrong.
When We’re Available
Monday to Saturday, 8am to 8pm. Emergency jobs are handled inside those hours, not through the night — we keep space in the day for them so a burst pipe doesn’t wait behind booked work.
We won’t pretend to be a 24-hour operation with vans circling Leeds. It’s one Gas Safe registered engineer who answers his own phone. If he can get to you today he’ll say so, and if he can’t he’ll tell you that too, so you can decide what to do.
What It Costs
£85
Call-out charge, then £85 an hour after that.
You’ll be told the cost of any repair before it starts, so the bill is never a surprise.
If your problem can safely wait until normal hours, we’ll tell you — it’ll cost you less.
FAQ
Emergency Call-Out Questions
Same day wherever we can, within our hours of Monday to Saturday, 8am to 8pm. We’ll be straight with you: this is a one-man business, so if Daniel is already on another job he’ll tell you honestly when he can get to you rather than promising an hour and turning up at six.
Anything you can’t control or make safe yourself. A burst pipe or a leak you can’t stop is an emergency. A dripping tap, or a leak you’ve caught in a bucket and isolated, can usually wait until normal hours — and it’ll cost you less that way.
Yes — £85 to come out, then £85 an hour after that. It’s the same rate whenever you call within our hours, Monday to Saturday, 8am to 8pm, and we’ll tell you what the job is likely to run to before we start.
For a leak or a burst pipe, turn the water off at the stopcock — usually under the kitchen sink — and isolate the appliance from the mains if it’s connected to one. For anything gas related, open all the doors and windows.
Don’t ring us first. Turn the gas off at the meter, open the doors and windows, don’t touch light switches or anything electrical, get everyone outside, and call the National Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999. They’re free, they’re open all day and night, and making the property safe comes before any repair.
No heating, no hot water, a leak under the sink, a burst pipe that can’t be stopped, and a smell of gas.
