Boiler Repair & Servicing in Leeds

Boiler playing up, or due its yearly service? A full service is £85 on any make. If it needs repairing, it’s £85 to come out and £85 an hour after that.

The short answer

A full boiler service is £85 on any make. A repair is £85 to come out and diagnose the fault, then £85 an hour after that, plus any parts. We repair any domestic gas boiler and carry common parts in the van, so a lot of faults are sorted on the first visit.

What’s In A Service

A proper service is more than a quick look and a sticker. Ours covers the checks set out under regulation 26(9) of the gas regulations, plus a strip-down and clean where the boiler needs it.

  • Regulation 26(9) safety checks
  • Gas tightness test
  • Inspection inside the boiler
  • Condensate trap cleaned
  • Check for wear and tear
  • Full strip-down where needed
  • Flame supervision device checked
  • Appliance gas rated
  • Combustion analysis and CO₂ check
  • Soundness of the boiler casing

What It Costs

£85

Full boiler service, any make.

Repairs are priced separately: £85 to come out and find the fault, then £85 an hour, plus parts. Landlords: a service booked alongside a gas safety certificate works out cheaper than the two separately.

Common Faults We’re Called To

Most of what we see falls into a handful of problems, and none of them get better on their own.

  • Leaking boiler — worth acting on quickly, before it damages anything around it
  • No heating — anything from a failed part to a system full of sludge
  • No hot water — often a diverter valve on a combi
  • Cold radiators or weak heating — usually a system that needs a power flush

Before You Call

Two minutes of checks fixes a surprising number of boilers. Is there power to it? Is the pressure gauge in the normal range? Is the thermostat actually calling for heat? A reset and a re-pressurise sorts plenty of faults. If it still won’t fire up, call us.

If you can smell gas, stop there. Turn the gas off at the meter, open the doors and windows, and ring the National Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999 before you ring anyone else.

A Job We Were Pleased With

A customer called us out because the heating wasn’t getting through to the radiators properly. The system was full of sludge, so we recommended a power flush and quoted for all ten radiators. We flushed the full system, and afterwards the heating was running as it should — warm radiators throughout and a system no longer working against itself.
