This policy explains what personal information Content Plumbing and Heating collects, why we collect it, how we look after it, and what rights you have over it. We've written it in plain English rather than legal jargon.

What we collect

When you fill in the quote form on our website, we collect:

• Your name
• Your email address
• Your phone number, if you provide one
• The type of service you're enquiring about
• Anything you write in the message box

If you contact us by phone or email instead, we'll hold whatever details you give us in that conversation. If we carry out work for you, we'll also hold the address of the property and records relating to the job.

Why we collect it

We use your information to reply to your enquiry, provide a quote, arrange and carry out work, and keep the records we're legally required to keep — for example, gas safety records and business accounting records.

We do not sell your information, and we won't add you to a marketing list or send you promotional messages unless you've specifically asked us to.

Our legal basis

Under UK GDPR we rely on:

• Legitimate interests — responding to an enquiry you've sent us.
• Performance of a contract — arranging and carrying out work you've asked us to do.
• Legal obligation — keeping gas safety records and financial records for the periods the law requires.

Who else sees it

Our website's quote form is handled by Web3Forms, a form-processing service that forwards submissions to our email. Your submission passes through their systems on the way to us. You can read their privacy policy at web3forms.com/privacy.

Our website loads fonts from Google Fonts and shows an embedded Google Map on the contact section. Both mean your browser makes a request to Google's servers when the page loads, and Google may receive your IP address as part of that request.

Beyond that, we only share your information where we're legally required to — for example with Gas Safe Register, HMRC, or our accountant.

How long we keep it

If you enquire but we don't end up doing any work for you, we'll delete your enquiry within 12 months. If we do carry out work, we keep the job and financial records for six years, which is the period required for tax purposes. Gas safety records are kept for at least two years, as required by the Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1998.

Cookies

This website does not set any tracking or advertising cookies, and we don't run analytics on it. If that changes, we'll update this policy and add a cookie notice.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

• Ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you
• Ask us to correct anything that's wrong
• Ask us to delete it, where we're not legally required to keep it
• Object to us using it, or ask us to restrict how we use it
• Withdraw consent, where you've given it

Complaints
